FORT MACLEOD and area

A rich and proud Utah Pioneer heritage town, tucked away in the heart of southwest Alberta’s Chinook foothills landscape. Lethbridge is 77 km directly  northeast of Cardston. Waterton Lakes National Park lies 40 km to the west, Montana 25 km south and Calgary 234 km to the north.

Brocket is a hamlet in southern Alberta located between Pincher Creek and Fort Macleod. It is the main community on the Peigan reserve.

MAGRATH / RAYMOND / WARNER and area

MAGRATH: This Garden City is situated within Cardston County, and is 32 km south of Lethbridge, 46 km north of Del Bonita, 18 km west of Raymond and 61 km east of Glenwood.

RAYMOND: Located 34 km south of Lethbridge, deep  in the southwest core of irrigation, 65 km north of Del Bonita, 14 km west of Stirling and 8 km east of Welling.

WARNER:  This farming community is situated 65 km southwest of Lethbridge, 17 km north of Milk River and 67 km east of Magrath. It is home to the Warner Hockey School.

MILK RIVER:  Nestled alongside the Milk River, after which it is named, this farming community is located 70 km southeast of Lethbridge, 23 km north of Coutts and 44 km west of Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park.

TABER and area

TABER: This richly diverse agricultural town is known as the Corn Capital of Canada. Located       50 km east of Lethbridge, 20 km west of Purple Springs, 64 km north of Warner and 35 km south of Vauxhall.

COALDALE:  This agriculture based town is a major provincial transportation link. Lethbridge is 16 km to the west, Raymond, 31.2 km south, Lomond, 73 km directly north and Barnwell 27.5 km east.

PICTURE BUTTE: Known as the “Livestock Feeding Capital of Canada” and is located 27 km north of Lethbridge, 66 km south of Lomond, 20 km east of Nobleford and 64 km southwest of Taber.

VAUXHALL:   Known as the Potato Capital of the West, this farming and oil and gas community is located 36 km south of the Corn Capital of Taber and is 86 km northeast of Lethbridge and 69 km north of Brooks. It is also home to the Vauxhall Academy of Baseball.

BARONS and area

This CPR founded village, situated along Highway 23 with Lethbridge 51 km to the southeast, Calgary, 170 km north, Taber 97 km east and Claresholm 37 km directly west.
